Psycho-Oncology Internship- Hello there, I loved the way Aastha mam taught. She was absolutely phenomenal , she was very dedicated to the field and her dedication was reflected through her teaching. She made sure that we were informed about the nature of the sessions (whether its was heavy emotionally / cognitively) so that we did not get overwhelmed and that was the great quality to possess as a trainer of such a sensitive field and I would be happy to be a part of upcoming training programmes. Basically I am so much in love with the internship program. I started attending psycho-oncology internship to understand how psychology works in the cancer field, but with each class I gained more information about the field and understood how psychologists play a vital role. Though it's a new field in India, I have a strong will to work in this field. If not , at least do volunteering in the nearby Cancer Institute to help patients with the knowledge I got.
Counseling skills Internship- I joined a counseling skills internship to know about the field of counseling and what role a counseling psychologist has and I’m very happy to say that I got all my answers. The classes were very insightful. All the concepts introduced were briefly explained. Aastha mam patiently listens to our doubts and answers them very clearly. I really liked her teaching style as she does not rush with any topic , she gives us time to note down so that we can clearly understand each and every area that has been taught.
Psycho-oncology workshop was really one of the best workshops for people who need to understand the basic concepts of how to handle cancer patients, mental stress and uplift them. The facilitator was wonderful and kept the overview of the topic brief but informational. She was very helpful and enlightening , the less explored area of the psychological field. I’m eagerly looking forward to more such workshops.
Hypnotherapy workshop - by this session, I had some insights about hypnotherapy, it was extremely informative and it cleared the stereotypes about it. A many hypnosis sessions was the best part of the workshop.The facilitator was very much clear with the concepts and made the session really interesting by making the process more understandable.
Bhatia Battery and SFBT workshop- The session was very informative and as practical as it could be in Online mode. I've done Bhatia Battery in Bachelors and even the minutes of doubt got cleared during these sessions.Thank you hr’o’hour for this opportunity.
Career Counseling, Positive Psychology and CBT practitioner courses - Grateful to team Hr’o’hour for organizing such amazing courses and for arranging such awesome mentors. Currently I’m doing 3 courses with them and to be honest, I am enjoying all the three courses. Career counseling is a beautiful introduction to psychology for me. Dream Therapy Batch 1- Dream Analysis Sessions has been a great journey. Saachi mam is just amazing, I really enjoy her teaching and I wait the whole week for her lecture. One thing I like about hr’o’hour is that they really choose the facilitator properly so that the students can benefit and it's not just textbook knowledge but it has also become an interactive group which help us gain more insight about the topic as we get to know different perspectives, Thank you for helping me to meet such a great teacher.
Psycho-oncology Batch 1- I must say that it has been a wonderful journey for me in these few months as I’ve gained immensely from this course and aastha mam has been simply an outstanding teacher, the way she teaches giving real life examples and that too on a serious topic like cancer is simply beyond words , the content of what she teaches reflects her years of experience , her passion and dedication towards the field of psycho-oncology. She really knows how to handle a class of students coming from diverse backgrounds and how to make classes more interesting with a beautiful blend of theory and practical within the context of all kinds of limitations that we face online during pandemic with time constraints. I’ve been telling all my friends about this valuable course that has added meaning to my life. I’m very grateful to hr’o’hour and Aastha mam, she’s the best, simply awesome ! CBT Batch 2- The CBT lectures were very great, they were informative as well as interesting , filled with a lot of examples. Meghna mam taught promptly by insulating her real life practice sessions and client’s examples with the theory and techniques being taught, we also did a little script reading and role play to understand techniques of questioning. Meghna mam clears all the doubts even if she has to go in depth for the same and simultaneously teaches us many do’s and don'ts as a therapist and make us enjoy at the same time.
